As a Tax Agent, our work is performed in accordance with the Tax Agent Services Act (TASA) 2009. The TASA 2009 and the Tax Agent Services (Code of Professional Conduct) Determination 2024 requires that we make the following disclosures to current and prospective clients:

#1 Matters that could significantly influence your decision to engage us, or continue to engage us, for a Tax Agent Service from 1 July 2022 onward.

When we are made aware of a matter that may significantly influence your decision to engage us, or continue to engage us, for tax agent services, we must disclose this matter to current and prospective clients in writing within specific timeframes:

  • Within 30 days of becoming aware of the matter; or
  • If you make enquiries for tax agent services, at the time of the enquiry.

EMspire Advisory is not aware of any matters that could significantly influence a current or prospective client to engage us.

#2 The Tax Practitioner’s Board (TPB) maintains a register of Tax Agents and BAS Agents. This is available on the TPB website and is searchable. You can access and search this register using this link.

#3 Dispute Resolution Process

If you have a complaint about our Tax Agent services, you will need to firstly contact us by email with the details to info@emspire.com.au. Your complaint will be investigated by the Director/s. We will provide you with email acknowledgement of your complaint and our understanding of the circumstances. The email will inform you that we will attempt to resolve your complaint within 14 days and will outline the dispute resolution process.

If you are unhappy with the outcome of our dispute resolution process, you can then make a complaint to the Tax Practitioner’s Board (TPB) through their dedicated complaints webpage using this link. The TPB will contact you by email to acknowledge receipt of your complaint and the outcome of their review.

If you are dissatisfied with the outcome of the TPB investigation, the TPB website has information on your review rights and other avenues for further assistance.
